His glare shifted from the australian to the other - a lady, obviously, even without James telling him that. But she seemed... familiar... and - Oh my God! "Eira!" he yelped, eyes widening with surprise. Pushing back from the rail, he dashed for the gangplank, down it in record time. Up close, he was certain. Eira, one of those missing siblings he'd been searching for all this time. "It is you!" he laughed, spontaneously hugging her close.
He'd missed having his family so much - and finally, finally, the hope of seeing them all alive and well again seemed more real.

Eira had never seen Arthur run so fast. Or at all, actually. It was kind of weird. She'd also never seen him so happy, but she wasn't going to take that for granted and she wasn't complaining. Arthur always had a puss on his face, but the two hadn't seen eachother in years. It was only natural he would be excited to see her. She was too, of course - she didn't like being the only one left. "Yep, it's me." She pushed her long bangs behind her ear - the hair was getting in her face and it was annoying.
"You've grown." Laughing a little, she hugged Arthur back. It was weird, him being affectionate, but again - she wasn't going to complain. It had been so long since she'd seen anyone in her family (besides her parents) that she was going to take every chance she could get to show them she cared.

To say James felt weirded out by seeing his captain so happy would be an understatement. The Australian had actually stumbled away when Arthur had shot down to hug Eira. And could only gape for a good long time, watching the siblings exchange. And then he could only open and close his mouth for a good minutes stupidly. But then he finally refound his voice, pointing almost dramatically at Arthur.
"... Who the hell are you and what did you do with my grumpy ass captain?"

"Stuff it you tosser!" he snapped, face turning an angry, embarrassed red as he turned a ferocious glare on James. "Do you have any fucking idea how long I've been trying to find even the slightest trace of one of my family members? Christ, I've been searching for fucking years now - I'm allowed to be bloody happy!"
And he was - good god, finding just one of them made him believe it was possible to find the rest. Turning back to his sister, he realized he was still hugging her. Backing up a couple of steps quickly, he cleared his throat, trying to conquer the red on his face. "...where the hell have you been, Eira? I went home and all of you were gone - and no one could tell where you went."

"Arthur, calm down. There's no need to yell at him, he just brought me here!" She turned to James and gave him an apologetic look. "You'll have to excuse him, sometimes he gets like this..." She laughed a bit as she saw her brother back away. He was always the bashful type, never wanting to show his true feelings.
Looking back up at him, she raised a giant eyebrow. "No one knew where I went? That's odd...I'd been working and...you'd all just left, one by one. It was weird. Honestly, I was wondering where you'd went."

"Yeah, listen to your sister!" He punctuated the comment by childishly sticking his tongue out at Arthur. Though he made to stay out of arms reach. And he grinned at Eira's comment, waving his hand to dismiss it. "Ah this is nothing. You should see him when he's drunk, if you never have."
And that was it. He debated what to do next, feeling somewhat awkward with the two reunited siblings. But to get back on the ship he had to pass by Arthur... And James really didn't feel like being hit for his behavior.

He set his attention to 'ignore James' mode as the boy being childish meant he had nothing of import to say and concentrated on his sister. "I..." he trailed off, wondering how much to say - even as his face started to color as he remembered exactly where he had been. "I'm sorry, Eira. I would have been home sooner... it wasn't my intention to leave and never come back. I was going to just... give you all a scare, make a bit of money for that guitar I wanted..." he sighed, gnawing on his lip with guilt.
"I never expected to be attacked by pirates." he said almost sheepishly.

She looked over to James and noticed he looked a bit awkward - poor kid. She knew how he felt, awkwardly hanging around while others talked. That's what it was like back when all her siblings lived in one house. No one ever listened to her, she just...stood around.
"I figured it wasn't, but then after you all left I worried that you all had gotten lost or...or worse." She nodded. When they were gone, she thought about her brothers and sister at least once a day - worrying about them, wondering where they were.
"You were...attacked?"

He glanced between the siblings, finally deciding that maybe giving them some privacy to catch up would be the best idea. Even if it did mean he would get hit for his behavior. Especially when they could be talking about things the captain rather not have his crew knew about.
So, carefully he tried to slip around the Brit, giving Eira a wave. "Um, I'll just go check on Lily or somethin'."

He paused, moments before answering. Looking around the dock he could see quite a few people both blatantly and unobtrusively listening in on their conversation. Giving a glare to the ones staring at them, Arthur reached out and touched Eira's elbow gently. "...come on, let's talk more privately." He turned with her, giving James a light smack on the shoulder and a pointed look. "Can you run down to the galley and bother Odin for some tea?"
