"Sounds exactly like him," James couldn't help but snort, placing his hands behind his head. "Crikey... Well this is unexpected... Gotta apologize, he never actually... Well the bloke doesn't really chat about his past to us..."
Chewing his bottom lip he looked off to the side. There were two options to follow from here. He could go back to the ship and inform the captain who he had met. Or he could just see if Eira wanted to come back with him. He was leaning towards the second option. "Oi, Eira... I'm heading back to the ship... So if you'd like, you can come see him..."

"He hasn't changed much, then..." She laughed a little, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it."
She hadn't seen any of them in a really long time, come to think of it. Blaine, Saoirse, Ramsey, Arthur...they were all gone for so long. Was it that she was too dependent on others, or was it just that she was overshadowed by the rest of them? She had a sense of adventure, or at least, that was what she thought, but why didn't she follow in their footsteps? She was too tied to her life at home, but she was constantly ignored.

"Huh? Why not?" He cocked his head to the side, leaning against one of the kitchen counters. If he was in her shoes, he would probably jump at the chance to reunite with a sibling he hadn't seen in years...
Then again... He could very well have a sibling he had no idea about... And a mother, and a fath-
James shook his head, refusing to dwell on the depressing thoughts for long. Instead, he pushed himself off the counter, striding over to her. Planting his hands on his hips, he gave her one of his trade mark grins. "Ah, c'mon! Don't'cha wanna check on your limey of a brother?"

"What? Of course I do!" She raised a large eyebrow, wondering what had made him think she didn't want to see Arthur again. ...Ah. That was it. "Oh! I meant don't worry about apologizing. It's fine."
She felt his demeanor change for a second and realized he seemed troubled, but wasn't sure if she should intrude or not. She nodded, giving him a smile. "I'd love to see Arthur again. It's been years...much much too long.

He flushed, looking embarrassed for a moment at realizing he had misinterpreted what she had said. Ah, so she meant don't worry about that. He almost wanted to apologize again. Though he managed to restrain. He crossed his arms over his chest, contemplating for a moment, before grinning at her. A glint of mischief in his eyes.
"Hey, why not come on back to the ship with me? I can be you're gentlemen escort?" He gave a playful wink, taking a step back to give a small bow, like he'd seen the captain give some women occasionally. Of course, James was pretty sure he did it wrong.

She saw his face change - he looked embarrassed now, and she held a hand over her mouth, sorry to have misled him. She watched James bow to her, asking her to come back to the ship, and while the bow was - she guessed - his attempt to be chivalrous, it just looked a little awkward. She laughed a bit, nodding.
"I'll come back to the ship with you." She laughed again - this time less restrained than before, more, almost comfortable. "What was that?"

"What was what?" Oh now he felt even more embarrassed. Rubbing the back of the neck as he straightened. Though he couldn't help but grin hearing her laugh. Least she seemed a bit more comfortable. Piecing it together, he couldn't help but release a small bark of laughter. "Oh that! Ah, an imitation of your brother's chivalry. Did I do it wrong?"
He really hoped he did. The last thing James wanted to be was a gentlemen.

"Little little bit. If you wanna be chivalrous, you have to bend deeper." She bowed in imitation of Arthur, sweeping one arm over her stomach and deeply bending one knee. "Like that." She nodded a bit.
But this was no time for lessons on things she didn't know too well herself - that could come later. There were more pressing matters at hand. "How far away is the ship?"

He nodded a little bit, watching her with an amused grin. He frowned a bit, tilting his head back slightly as he recalled where the docks were. Well, where they had been before he had gone on his run from the police, zig zagging as much as he could to lose them. In the end, he came up blank, opting to shrug a little.
"Well, at the docks. Donno how far that is from here though..."

"Don't worry about it. I know basically how to get there." She nodded. She needed to do something before they could leave, though...after all, it was only fair.
Quickly, she grabbed a pen from a drawer and a napkin, scrawling a hasty note on it.
'Mam and Dad, Left home to find Arthur, Blaine and Saoirse. I'll be back when I get back.
Sorry about this. Love you.
Eira'
"That should do it. I hope, anyway..." She nodded a bit and then walked over to the back door, beckoning to James. "There's a lot of side streets you need to take because we're in the heart of Cardiff, but we should get there fine. Just no pickpocketing, I don't need to get into any trouble on the way."

"Hey! I don't pick pocket all the time." He sniffed, mocking hurt. However his grin remained as he followed Eira out the door, hands in his back pockets. He glanced around, a bit apprehensive. He was still fairly positive that he had managed to give those guys the slip earlier. But who knows if that was the truth. They could be lurking around.
Ah well, if that was the case, they would just have to be ready to run!

"So then what do you do on your off days?" She teased him a little bit, keeping a close watch for cops. God, she really didn't want to have to have a run in with them. Cardiff police were so strict sometimes. Her eyes shifted as they walked.
"Lot of turns coming, so follow me."

"Ah, generally speaking... Piss your brother off." He grinned at that, nodding in response to her next phrase. He whistled to himself, looking around the streets curiously. A nagging question remained on his mind however. James trying to sound as nonchalant as he could when he asked it. "So... What's it like to have a brother? I mean, one like the captain..."
Or any siblings. Or a family in general. Not that James had ever wanted one. He was just... Just a bit curious was all.[/size]

"They all did." She laughed a bit, remembering days when she was younger and all six of them were home, taking the piss out of eachother. She always found it a bit odd that they were all from fathers of different nationalities. Her mam got around. She shuddered a bit at that thought. Not something she liked thinking about.
"Guess it depends on which one you're talking about. Arthur was difficult to deal with because he was so goddamn stubborn. Blaine's difficult too, but he always has a smart remark. Petey's a sweetheart but he can be a bit of a brat, and Ramsey's always sick so he barely leaves his room."

He nodded, just listening to her as she spoke. He had to raise an eyebrow when she shuddered, an absolutely disgusted look passing across her face. Though, maybe he'd rather not know what she was thinking about. Quietly he looked a head, waiting until he was sure she was done to speak up.
"Sounds nice..."
