Home, he was actually home! James hadn’t even waited for the Grim to dock ship, diving off the side and into the clear waters of Australia’s ocean. The others shouted at him, though most were laughing at his exuberance. James hardly paid them any mind, swimming backwards, shouting up to the others that he would catch up with them later.
It was so good to be home. So odd, so surreal. But at the same time, it was like a part of him that was missing was filled. James was sure his cheeks would start hurting from grinning so much.
That was how he spent the morning. Laughing and ducking under water, exploring the reefs he remembered. And as the sun was getting higher in the sky, he heard Odin shouting to him. He blinked, treading water. His crew wasn’t too far away. Apparently having joined him at the beach while he was exploring. Oh, oh! Lunchtime!
Grinning he became swimming back to the shore, shaking his hair out once he had reached where he could stand.
Ah! He missed being home.

Arthur stretched out on a chair they had put out on the beach and relaxed under a large umbrella. It was nice to once in a while take a break from all the hard work that living a double life could bring - and the weather down under was amazing. He was even half considering taking a swim later because from the sounds James was making, the ocean was wonderful too.
But for now, he put on a pair of sunglasses and pulled out a book, perfectly content to take it easy.

Grinning he glanced around the beach, smoothing his soaking wet hair back to keep it out of his eyes. He saw the other members of his crew, all occupying themselves in some shape or form. Lily for instance was busy building a sand castle. And he grinned even more, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Of course, then he caught sight of his captain. Reading.
That would not do on the beach. Now while James was around! Even if he needed to throw him in the water himself! (The mischievous part of him was actually hoping Arthur refused to get in the water, so he could do just that!)
Making a beeline for his captain, he stood in front of him, cocking his head to one side before snatching the book.
"What're you doin' mate? We're at the beach! You don't read here!"

He felt really relaxed for the first time in what felt to be ages - he rarely got a chance to really immerse himself in a book anymore. It was wonderful -
- and suddenly his book and his relaxed mood was snatched away by a wet australian with a death wish. "Oi! What the fuck is your problem James!" he growled, giving one of his best glares. "There isn't a law that says I can't read on the beach! Give it back!"

"It should be," stepping away from his captain, he looked at the stolen book. "I mean, it's a beautiful day! And here you are just sitting around readin'! So boring!"
He peeked over, only snickering at the glare he received. "If you want you're book back, you gotta catch me!"
And James didn't wait to make sure if Arthur took his bait or not, taking off and away from the Brit.

"Hey! You little brat! Bring that back or I swear you'll be cleaning privies for the rest of your time on me ship!" James wouldn't need to look behind him to hear Arthur chasing him angrily - but if he did, he would see the positively deadly expression on his face or the angry fist clenched high in the air.

James hardly seemed effected by the threat, or the deadly expression. He just continued to laugh, jumping over Lily's sand castle while the girl gave a start, scrambling back. With a small 'sorry' shouted over his shoulder to her, he continued running.
Well. If he was going to be on privy duties for the rest of his time on the Grim, he might as well make it worth it.

Putting on an extra burst of speed now that he knew the Aussie wasn't going to slow down, let alone stop, Arthur leapt in a classic rugby tackle, trying to take him down and even in his anger he was happy they were on a sandy beach and not, say, on the Grim.

James could only release a small squawk of sorts, losing his balance and being tackled to the ground. Though, soon the Australian was laughing, spitting out some sand that hand gotten into his mouth, and making sure to keep the book out of his captain's grasp. Though, it wasn't very hard. Considering Arthur's tackle had made him land on top of it.

Getting up enough that he could use one hand to push James's face into the dirt, he smirked victoriously. "So. Going to give it back now?"
(sorry that short post is short D:)

Spitting out more sand, he internally debated. He could just return the book... But that would be way too easy. And boring. Yes, just giving up would be way to easy, he decided, hiding his mischievous grin as he spoke up.
"Okay, okay, you win mate. Just let me up and I'll give it back!"
(It's okay~)

Giving the australian one last smack to the back of the head, Arthur got up off his back and stood there, arms crossed and scowling. "Well? Give it here, brat."

Standing up, James glanced at the book he was still holding before back at his captain. And then the mischievous smile spread wider. "Sure... But first..."
He tossed the book to the side, taking a split second to make sure it landed safely before putting his plan into motion. With both hands free he grabbed the captain, slinging the Brit over his shoulder. "You gotta go for a swim!"
And with that he rushed to the ocean, ignoring the others struggling. And when he had made it far enough out, he all but threw Arthur into one of the incoming waves.

He let out a startled yelp as he was heaved over a rather well-muscled shoulder, struggling proving to be useless as in mere moments later he found himself submerged in the warm waters of the ocean and choking on a salty mouthful as he'd just opened it to yell at his crewman.
When his head was finally above water again, he coughed, loud and hard, choking on the burning salt in his throat. Finally getting control of himself again, he looked up at James, no, glared up at him through soaked bangs. "James..." he trailed off threateningly.

James either didn't seem to notice the threatening tone in the captains voice, or simply ignored it. Either way, the Australian continued to laugh, even after he was knocked over by another wave. Slicking back now soaking wet brown hair, he tried to stop laughing. But one look at Arthur sent him into another wave of guffaws.
