Name: Henry Kirkland
Country of Origin: Bermuda
Gender Male
Age: 25
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 140 pounds
Appearance: Henry is one of those guys who looks genuinely nice. His chestnut-brown hair is always pulled back off of his face into a ponytail, held in place by a green ribbon. His eyes are a dark blue-green color, and his skin is tanned. He typically wears outfits that aren't very flashy, usually they serve more on the side of practicality rather than fashion. The type of outfit varies depending on the place he's in, as he dresses appropriately for each. He can occasionally be found wearing trinkets he's found.
Crew member of: [What crew are you in? DO NOT FILL THIS OUT UNTIL ACCEPTED INTO A CREW]
Status: [Are you a captain or crew member? YOU MUST MARK YOURSELF AS CREW IF NOT CAPTAIN-APPROVED BY AN ADMIN!]
Pet: [ONLY the CAPTAIN of a crew may have a pet. Think of it as the captain's parrot or monkey. A mascot of sorts for the ship. Ignore this if you are not a captain.]
Crest: [FOR CAPTAINS ONLY! The Crest of your crew]
Personality: Overall Henry is friendly and easygoing. He can come off as a bit eccentric at times, especially due to the fact he strongly believes many old superstitions and tales, but he's quite sane. He is pretty easy to get along with, since he's always cheerful and willing to be friendly. Henry is the kind of person you can rely on to be there for you when you need him, and will always be willing to offer comfort when you're upset, or a shoulder to cry on if you need one.
His real interests lay in maps and treasures. He goes from place to place making maps and finding long lost objects. He is fascinated by shipwrecks and likes to explore them. He believes the best treaures can be found underwater, although he regularly settles for those you find on landm since they're usually easier to get at. He has a bizzare fascination with shells, and keeps a small collection of them. Since he is not motivated by greed, he doesn't always think of the money he could make in treasure hunting, he would rather just find some unique objects and have fun doing it.
His favorite thing to eat is seafood and fresh fruit, and he likes to swim. While he feels at home in the water, he's always wondered what it would be like to fly. He is happy to adapt to do whatever it is the crew he is with at the time needs him to do, so long as they know he won't be there forever.
History: Born not long before his mother married into the Kirkland family, he always grew up assuming he too, was a Kirkland (although he is still unaware he holds no blood ties to the family). His childhood was normal, and he grew up as a boy always seeking adventure. From a young age he was attached to the water, and enjoyed swimming and fishing, and when he could go out on boats even for a little while he was at home. He grew up apart from his "brothers", although his mother always told him he had brothers somewhere else. While he wanted to meet them, he was also content to do his own thing.
As time passed he took to making maps, starting off small with a map of his home. Eventually he began to spread outwards, making maps of wider and wider regions. He found a use for his maps when he first stumbled across a cave near his home town. It was really an accident when he found it, considering he tripped right over the entrance. Of course, his curiosity got the better of him, and he HAD to explore it. It didn't take long for him to find a treasure trove within the cave, and he instantly became fascinated with treasure.
He began to travel around his home region looking for more secret caves and even searching shorelines and underwater for treasures. Each time he would mark the locations off on his maps, planning on returning one day to explore them fully. As soon as he was old enough, he set out from home seeking adventure wherever he could find it.
Allegiance: While truely his heart lies with the sea, he has always wondered what it's like to fly. Either way, he goes where the wing and promise of treasure take him.
How They Died: This hadn't been supposed to happen. Arthur said he was safe, no one would hurt him. No one knew what he was doing to help the Allies. No one was supposed to. He was harmless, he was only doing a favor for Arthur. He could remember getting confirmation that some of the ships were headed his way to get fuel, but that was it. The next minute there were sirens wailing and he was being told that there were enemy ships headed towards the island.
His heart was pounding in his chest, his face still showing a look of total disbelief. There was absolutely no way that they could be at risk, they were so far from the warfront. It was impossible, wasn't it? No. Nothing was impossible. It was improbable. What had become of Arthur, why would he let this happen? Did the Brit even know? No, if he knew he wouldn't let this happen.
Then he felt it, the earth shaking. He heard the explosions, he knew they were already under attack. It was too late to run now, but he wasn't even worried about that. He was too caught up in the fear of the moment. Like a child, he was in tears, too frightend to run or even do anything to help himself. His life seemed to flash before his eyes as another explosion rocked the building. Everything became a blur as the ceiling caved in, and then it was over.
