This took me way longer than it should have. >.>'''
Name: Yao Wang
Country of Origin: China
Gender Male
Age:4000 28
Height: 169 cm
Weight: 130 lbs
Appearance:
Yao looks young for his age, and a lot of the time people won't believe him at first when he first tells them his age. Yao has long black hair, which is pretty much always tied back into a ponytail sitting on his right shoulder, and brown eyes. He has a pretty slender body type as well.
When dressed normally, he likes to wear his red changshan, which is decorated with some gold bamboo. He also likes to wear a gold sash on his waist, and long black pants.
When roaming the seas he likes to wear a long royal blue changshan that goes to his ankles and is decorated with gold trimming. The sleeves are long, but aren't wide like his regular red changshan. He wears two sashes with this outfit. The larger one would be gold color, and the smaller sash layered on top is a navy blue color. His pants for this outfit are still black. Yao is often spotted with his qiang (his weapon of choice) whenever wearing this outfit.
[I'll do some legit drawings... eventually >.>]
Crew member of: The Red Bear
Status: Crew
Pet: N/A
Crest: N/A
Personality: Wise, and with a good head on his shoulders, Yao is the oldest of his siblings, and tries to act like one, but fails to ever be recognized as an older brother figure by anyone. Even so, Yao still loves his family greatly, and would do just about anything for them. He has an incredibly hard time ever telling his siblings no, and spoils/ dote on them slightly.
Yao is a traditional person, so he's pretty religious (Buddhism) and superstitious as well. He also holds a great deal of humility and dignity for himself, and does his best to bring honor to his family.
Yao can only really display his affections openly for his family, and cute things (pandas, shinattychan, etc). With anyone else, he becomes distant, and can be flustered rather easily.
Yao's trust is hard to gain, and even harder to gain back.
History: Yao grew up in a small village by the coast as the oldest of 3 children (Hong Kong and Taiwan). Their mom died shortly after his youngest brother's birth, and his father was usually away from the village, traveling around the world as a navigator, so he was never home all that much. Neighbors would help raise Yao and his siblings, but Yao learned to mature at a much faster rate than the rest of his friends, and took it upon himself to help take care of his siblings until he eventually could take care of not only himself, but his siblings as well. Yao even help take care of his childhood friends/ neighbors (other Asian nations) to help raise them and be there "adoptive older brother", though none of them really regarded him as their older brother.
The last time Yao's father visited, it was his last. Very excited to have his father back home, Yao went out to the forest to gather food for something good to eat, but upon his return he sees his village was destroyed. His village burned down, with very few survivors. From one of the survivors he learned that a band of thieves raided the village, and his father was killed protecting his siblings. He was also told the thieves also kidnapped his siblings, which infuriated Yao so much.
Yao left the village in order to find any leads on this band of thieves, in order to rescue his siblings, and cast his revenge on the people who not only kidnapped about the people he cares most about, but killing his father, and destroying his village. After traveling and not finding any decent leads, Yao decided to become a pirate in order to hunt down these men.
