Name: Ivan Braginski~
Country of Origin: Russia, so cold...but it is my home.
Gender I am male; you would like to look, da~?
Age: Eh? I am not old! kolkolkol But if I must have an age: 24, comrades
Height:I am a wonderful height of 6' 1"
Weight: So many questions that you should not ask....195lbs.
Appearance: He's never without a weapon; his gun and his pipe are his friends. Armed with a smile full of arctic ice, Ivan Braginski couldn't be a more fearsome sight during an air raid.
He will wear several different scarves depending on his mood and what he will be doing; the pink one his sister so lovingly knitted is for sleeping in; a red one is for battle; and a white one is for his daily wear. Though, the red and the white are often...mistaken, due to the frequent bloodshed caused by his violent nature.
There is one other reason for his constant scarves: a strange ring of scars wraps around his neck...
Other than the Russian Military uniform he wore before his defection, the outfit he wears is uniform with his tan jacket.
Crew member of: The Metall Podsolnuh
Status: First mate~!
Pet: Does Pipey Pipe Count?
Crest: The Metal Sunflower
Personality: Ivan has all the maliciousness of a small child paired with an adult's intelligence. He has a complete lack of morals, knowing what is right and wrong; or he just ignores them and follows his own dark blood soaked path.
Ivan is so lonely, and so afraid of that loneliness, that he would rather beat someone into staying; because to him...fear and hate are the closest things to love he has ever known. So if he can make everyone fear him, than he can tie them to him. On his good days, he's generous and cheerful; wanting to hug and touch and soothe any punishment someone forced him to inflict. No one likes Naughty children after all.
One of Ivan's problems on that front is his constantly swinging moods, like the weather or the wind; he can swing from murderous to melancholy to ecstatic right back to homicidal in the course of a few minutes. On top of that, his nightmares can aggravate his moods, generally leaving him in an utterly depressed state or in a particularly vicious demeanor. The viciousness spills onto the crew--or, if they get lucky, a hapless merchant vessel. Days like that leave only a burning husk full of dead bodies to plummet to the ground after he and the crew are done with it.
Good is one of the rarest of his moods, but when he's truly happy, he's open to suggestion and requests. Giving away portions of the treasure to those that have shown real loyalty and dedication to him, without any apparent threatening on his part. Toris benefits the most, Ivan indulging him in his wants and desires, seeing to his well being and taking care of any injury or wound he might have inflicted himself on the Captain; though he still chides him over his clumsiness in upsetting Ivan. Other than that he often is found to be sitting in a sunny out-of-the-way place on deck, reading the even rarer book, with his pink scarf firmly wrapped around his neck.
History: Ivan was the middle child, with an older sister and a younger sister, but for as long as he was able to understand he thought it was his duty to keep them safe. Their father was a cold man, heartless and cruel, uncaring whether he or his siblings survived. Ivan would often be the brunt of his sadistic treatment.
Ivan, Ivan dreamed of so much better; warm places full of warm people. The moment he was big enough to handle a gun, he left with just it and the scarf his sister had so lovingly knitted, dreaming of finding a warm place in this world. And when he did, he'd gather all the people together with him; then get his family and take them back with him. So that no one would be cold and alone again.
To do that though, Ivan needed power, and his sight was set on the military. So, he joins the Sky Navy, hoping to find his perfect piece of the world; but all he sees are the cold, and the dead, and the scared faces. Following orders isn't getting him anywhere he wants to be: its putting him into even worse places, and that does not sit well with him.
Then on a routine mission, he hears about the Treasure; with such a magnificent treasure there must be an equally magical place to hold it! Someplace eternally sunny--not sweltering, that wouldn't be fun--but warm and full of green and life. No flurry of Autumn or Bite of Winter...no Blazing Summer. Just an eternal Spring, that would be best; Spring was a season of renewal and life. Where everyone could be happy and loved and no one would fight or hurt each other or make Ivan hurt them...
If not he could simply use the riches to own the world and everyone would flock to him! He finds a shiny bit of gem, and makes sure to hide it, before disposing of the pirates to make sure they don't tell anyone else.
He gathers the other people in his unit, using either charisma, intimidation, or both to get them on his side, and stages a mutiny, taking over the ship. The Russian military gets suspicious when there's no routine radio contacts made, and start a search; after the bodies of the people that refused to join him are found rotting in the middle of field in Russia, the ship and crew are declared AWOL for the first time.
The Russian navy is displeased when someone with as much potential as Ivan begins breaking into Piracy, fighting with and often destroying what used to be his own country's ships in his search for the pieces. The news gets back to his family that Ivan's AWOL, but with no details and no more news forthcoming, it leaves his older sister to draw the conclusion that he's dead.
Not long after the military has well and truly declared him an enemy of the nation, Ivan began to think that it was not good to be in the spotlight as the captain. With an entire navy looking for him, desiring nothing more than his head on a pike, so to say, it was obvious that he needed a proxy: a puppet he could make dance and pose as captain, while he kept to the shadows and planned.
His opportunity came during a raid on a passenger vessel. He finds Toris, who is trying his hardest to beat the pirates back; failing, of course, but there was just enough steel to interest him. He watches for a little, before coming into the fray and knocking him out, taking him aboard the ship. Ivan watches how he reacts, and works.
He finds that Toris is strong enough to keep the men from grumbling too much without his intervention, and weak enough to bend under Ivan's will when he desires it. A perfect puppet indeed, so he sets Liet up as a front, allowing him free reign on the ship while he continues search.
