Antonio laughed and flopped down on the riverbank, his chest heaving as he attempted to catch his breath. He held out one hand through his pants and giggles, to use to shake the Portuguese man's hand. "T-truce. Hahaha..."

He took the hand, shaking it before climbing out of the water with rather unsteady feet. He only got a step or two before flopping down besides the captain, trying his hardest to catch his breath. A few occasional chuckles escaping him as he shut his eyes.
"You... You suck irmao."

Antonio laughed breathily, putting his head back and letting his eyes fall shut, breathing heavily. "Haa...you suck worse, hermano..."

He managed to give the other a light hearted shove, before sitting up. Pushing bangs out of his eyes he looked around before spotting Antonio's discarded coat lying a few feet away. Reaching out he grabbed it, unceremoniously dropping it on the captain. "You'll catch a cold."

Antonio flailed a little under the sudden assault of heavy fabric before finagling himself into a sitting position, looking up at his navigator with a small pout on his face. "I'm not gonna get sick, it's warm out here~you're a worrywort, hermano!"

"Can't an older brother worry?" The words came out before he even realized what he was saying. And he looked away quickly, tugging out his ribbon and running his hand through the wet locks. "I-I mean... Can't risk you getting sick captain. Lovino would probably kill me..."

Antonio blinked, the phrase " older brother" ringing hollowly in his mind. It wasn't like he was upset, no, but--it felt natural. Like it was the most perfectly normal thing for Afonso to worry over him like this. He beamed and pulled the coat around his shoulders, standing up slowly. "Aaah. You're probably right! Haha~ we should probably get back to the ship. I don't think we're getting anywhere near that treasure tonight."

"If there even was a treasure." He rolled his eyes slightly, pointedly looking to the other side as he tied his hair back up. Before attempting to wring out his shirt. Antonio was right though, with the heat they would be dry in a few minutes. So why did he worry? And what caused him to refer to himself as the captain's "older brother"? It felt so normal though, like the Spaniard really was his younger brother.
His head gave a painful throb, Afonso raising a hand to hold it, a small hiss escaping him.

"Of course there was a treasure!" he smiled, not too bothered by his navigator's pout; Antonio just laughed jovially and swung his coat over his shoulder, even as his feet squelched with each step he took from his wet boots. Hearing a hiss, Antonio turned over his shoulder and blinked. "You okay?"

"Just my head..." He mumbled, cringing slightly when his head gave another painful throb. It wasn't like he wasn't known for getting head aches. He had one practically everyday on La Madre Maria. He forced his smile this time, trying to ignore the throbbing. "It's fine."
He was use to it. And he was growing use to the random flashes that accompanied the worse head aches.

Antonio nodded; even though he was used to the other's headaches, he couldn't help but worry over his elder brother figure. The Spaniard offered an arm to help him, and not a word--just a small smile.

"I'm fine." He repeated seeing the worried look, and he was about to rolls his eyes and tell him he didn't need help walking. However, the action died before it could happen, Afonso reaching out to grab onto the others offered arm when his head gave another sharp throb. With a shaky smile he glance at Antonio, not wanting to worry him. Though he was sure he was failing at that.

He smiled at his navigator and led him through the woods, offering up a drink from his canteen. "Man...all these headaches, dios mio, I swear you're a burden~"
Antonio was obviously joking; truth be told, he'd never be rid of Afonso. He loved him like a brother.

He paused from taking a drink from the canteen, eyes widening as he looked at the Spainard. But when he saw the joking smile he relaxed. Truth be told, he was worried that he would be a burden.
He took a quiet sip, eyes looking downward now. "Desculpe... I can't help them."

Antonio laughed and tapped Afonso's arm, grinning. "Don't worry about it! It's not like I'm worried we're gonna share a brain or something~"
Share a brain. For some reason the words "Iberian union" echoed around in his head, and the Spaniard had to stop and blink as a wave of feelings washed over him; triumph, and then bitter anger. How strange....
