Antonio happily accepted the nuzzle from the other, his hand coming to rest on the back of his head and finger lightly through auburn locks as he smiled into the crown of his hair--it was so rare to see Lovino smile! "I'll sleep here, tonight, then. If that's alright, of course?"

He nodded, almost imperceptibly - nothing would make him happier than having Antonio stay... perhaps having the strong man stay near him would help him sleep? Already starting to doze off, he pulled Antonio down beside him, snuggling as close as he could as he slowly drifted away.
And just before he was gone completley - words slipped from his mouth, ones he was completely unaware of saying. "...love you, Spain..."

Antonio could have sworn his heart stopped.
In Spain, there were two phrases often said; 'te quiero' and 'te amo'. Te quiero was--in English, I love you, but it...was something you said to everyone, to anyone. It was love of a friend.
What Romano had just said was more on the te amo mark. I love you like a lover. Like a spouse. Like a....
Oh God.
He stared down at the sleeping Italian, his green eyes almost impossibly wide. It couldn't be that Lovino...no, no, that was a silly notion, he couldn't...
Love Antonio too?
Maybe that's what it was. Maybe that was why he felt so damn happy around Romano, the reason why his heart fluttered every time the other gave one of those beautiful, rare smiles. It all made perfect sense. Oh shit. Oh shit. He was in love with his first mate.
As Antonio pulled himself closer to the Italian, his fingers stroking through his silky hair like they had the whole evening, his mind whirled, lights and music and God knew what else, but it was all centered around one thing. Lovi loves me! Lovi loves me![/s]
He couldn't hide the goofy grin on his face as he slipped his arms around his first mate and looked down at him. He was so peaceful when he slept. Maybe...maybe just one wouldn't hurt...
And so, Antonio leaned down, heart thumping, and pressed the lightest, softest kiss to the sleeping Italian's lips, his eyes gently fluttering shut.

Francis had discovered, many years before, that knocking on doors was more or less a useless endeavor. It wasted valuable time, and wasn't a sure means of gaining entrance in every situation. Because of this he'd learned the wonderful art of lock picking-and he was quite proficient at it too.
The newest target of his skills? The door into which his ships captain had disappeared..quite a while ago actually. Not that he really had a reason to be searching for the man-but when had that ever stopped him before? He tucked his hairpin back into its normal place, he reached out to push the door open-and was greeted by a rather interesting sight.
"Ohuhu~" He chuckled, leaning against the door frame. "I wasn't aware you two had such a...close relationship". He turned to look at Antonio. "Though it does explains why you insist on keeping someone so ill tempered around, though I suppose that he's a bit more friendly towards you, hmmm?"

The Spaniard's eyes snapped wide open and he sprang apart from the Italian, trying to right himself into a sitting, captain-ly position...but he ended up with his face half on the floor, ass in the air as Lovino still had a tight grip on his arm. Antonio worked his way to a sitting position, his cheeks pleasantly flushed, and flustered between the floor and Francis' bemused face. "I--it's--it's not what you think, really!"

The blonde winked at him, laughing quietly to himself. "Oh don't act so emarrassed Capitaine, it is not odd for one to want their lover with them when they travel, especially if they spend as much time away from home as our kind do."

"We're not lovers!"He squeaked, cheeks turning an ungodly shade of red as he waved his free hand. "Really, it was a misunderstanding, was all, y-you didn't see anything! Ahahaa!"

Francis rolled his eyes. "I was not born yesterday cher~" he told the other amused. "I know Amour when I see it. You should not be so embarrassed. He's not an ugly boy, in spite of his temperament"

"It's not that, it's--" He sighed and looked back at the Italian, green eyes fond. "I do love him. I really, really do. But...I don't think he'd ever reciprocate it, no? He acts like he hates me..."
Antonio offered a cheery smile to his best friend, but there was a tinge of sadness to it. "But I'm okay with that! Ahah...Boss is used to being dumped, anyway. And--que será, será, si? Whatever will be, will be."

"I would think a ship's captain would be a bit less dense..." The french man muttered, looking up at the ceiling in exasperation. "Your Lovino is like a child," he explained. "the more he likes someone the, meaner he is to them. Notice, he ignores most of the crew, yet goes out of his way to find and pick fights with you" He pointed out.
"It is a ploy for your attention, and it works: you absolutely reek of a masochist Mon Ami." Francis continued. "If you did not humor this behaviour-ignored him or spent time with someone else- he would soon change his tactics"

He blinked, confused at Francis' words, before a small smile crossed his face. "You really, really think so?"
Antonio's gaze stayed on the sleeping Italian, and a small smile crossed his face. "...Truly, I'd like nothing more than to see him reciprocate his feeling, but...are you saying I should ignore him...?"

He snorted. "Its right in front of your face-How you are missing something so blatantly obvious is completely beyond me."
He shrugged. "Not ignore, per Se as much as refuse to play along to his behaviour, he'll eventually give up on it" Francis waved a hand dismissively. "After that its just a matter of getting him to admit his feelings"
