It was supposed to have been simple.
Board a ship, have an adventure.
Well. That was out of the question now. What was more of an important question now, though, was...
WHERE WAS HE?
He looked around worriedly, clutching his raggedy old jacket to his body tightly. He felt himself be pushed along with the crowd with a squeak and soon, his back thumped against a hard surface. Looking up, he sighed in relief to find himself against something solid that even he could recognize: a tall shop wall. Slumping against the bricked surface, he looked around again at everyone milling about. He wondered again where the hell he was.
Only just an hour ago Augusta's Pride (named after an old girlfriend of the Captain's) had landed in this strange place. Being just the little cabin errand boy, he had no idea where it was nor what it was called. All he knew though, was that it was very pretty.
It was safe to say that it didn't look quite so pretty anymore.
As he edged along the wall to a more shadier spot, he tried to muster up a little anger at the Captain. Four years of scrubbing decks and doing half-assed bandaging jobs and this is how they repay him? He leaves the ship to get some more supplies and they just leave him there? He had had to watch horrifyingly as the tiny little pathetic excuse for a ship took off far away into the skies, leaving their smallest member screaming and jumping up and down at the dock. He had been with them for so many years, so many stops, so many attacks (well, now that Junior thought about it, it was more like so many "RUN RUN RUN WE HAVE TO RUN AWAY FROM THAT SHIP"s)...
All for nothing. He sighed and lowered his eyes to the ground.
He was stranded. Left for dead. He had nothing with him other than a little bag of coins and the clothes he wore on his body.
Well. That certainly was a nice ending to his Big Adventure.
...What would his mom say?

Gilbert had never been to Sky City. If this wasn't obvious simply from the fact that he was gawking in awe at the docking system - you dock your ship, then enter the city through a building which houses inns, shops, and booking agencies for travelers to buy tickets to ride on commercial ships - the fact that Gilbert had never visited the infamous floating city became obvious when one realized that he had no idea where he was going.
As he stepped out of the main building and into the sunny, immaculate streets of the city, Gilbert took a deep breath of the fresh air, letting it out in a puff as he looked around himself, hands on his hips.
"So, uh," he turned to the crew members he had chosen to accompany him into town - on request of the first mate, who was sick of losing his captain in town and having to scour every bar to find the man - and grinned sheepishly. "Anyone know their way around this place?"
He looked from his first mate, to his cook, then to his newly acquired crew member, the adorable Italian who hadn't yet shown a particular talent.
"I mean, we could just wander for a while, but then we might get lost," he laughed a bit at this, imagining Ludwig's face if Gilbert managed to get them lost in a new place with no map. "Just keep in mind that we have to refuel while we're here, and we also need some food to restock Katuysha's kitchen."
(CREW MEMBERS OF THE IMPERIAL EAGLE! ...Do I have you attention now? Good! For time-frame reference, this is taking place after we whisk Feli away on an epic adventure. Current crew members are Lud, Feli, and Katuysha. So post, ja? <3)

Feliciano shrugged in answer to the capitain's question. "i don't know if i know my way around, i never been here before" this wasn't very helpful to the situation considering it left them in the same place they'd started. It would probably be a while before he figured that out though...
The next comment was more in his league. If there was one thing the brunette knew it was how to figure out where to buy food supplies. "uh, there's probably a market place or something here" he glanced around at the various crowds of people moving about before continuing, pointing out towards one of the roads. " it should be...that way!"

For the first time since joining the crew of the Imperial Eagle, Ludwig felt perfectly relaxed. Though he had never been to Sky City and had no map of the place, he felt strangely calm. Perhaps it was because Gilbert had conceded to his request to tag along on this errand. There was no way his captain could go missing again, now that Ludwig was there. He would keep Gilbert in check.
Ludwig took a moment to ponder Gilbert's question and Feliciano's answer, thanking God that his captain and crewmate were actually thinking, for once. "Well, since we do need supplies, why don't we walk down the main road for a while, as Feliciano suggested?" he said. "We'll be able to find a market or some other place to buy what we need, and we're not very likely to get lost that way."

Yekaterina's wide and wandering eyes came back to the group, her head tilting. "Ah, t-tak, that makes sense, Pan Ludwig. After all, is main road for reason, tak?" She smiled, a bit nervously, and shifted her gun-case over her shoulders. The weapon clashed a bit with her casual blue overalls and white shirt, but she wasn't about to leave it behind. Even if her back was feeling a bit strained today.
Setting foot on the sprawling streets, Katyusha quickly approached the Italian, gently clutching his sleeve once she was able to match his pace to whisper, "Ah, once we get to market, Pan Feli, would you be so kind as to be helping me read signs?;; I am still too used to Cyrillic;;"
She would've been too embarassed to ask the other two men, fond as she was of them, but with the Italian, the Ukrainian felt a bit less prone to scrutiny. It had something to do with the other's sunny way of looking at the world, and the people in it. It felt a bit less a burden, asking help from Feliciano.
Pan = Mr.
((PS--Kapitan, there's usually an official Sky Pirate waiting with a current map of the city, jsyk~ <3))

Junior cringed as a person rushed by, shoving his side deep into the cement wall. Rubbing his shoulder, he slowly creeped back out to the main street. Sighing, he started to walk meekly through the crowds of people. Maybe if he looked hard enough, he would be able to see a Help Wanted sign or something that might help him.
"Hey, watch where you're going, punk!"
A rough hand pushed him to the side and as he yelped in surprise, his foot caught on a metal wire and brought him crashing down to the ground. He tried to get up quickly and scrambled onto his knees only to hit his head on something hard.
He looked up only to squeeze his eyes shut again and pray he looked innocent enough.
"...Oh, h-hello there. Sorry for my rudeness!"
(Agh, sorry for the fail cliche post. XD)

Gilbert, conceding to agree with his crew just this once, had just stepped out onto the main street when suddenly a young man was shoved, tripped, and fell at his feet. Gilbert chuckled a bit, glancing back at his crew with amusement as he gestured to the frightened kid kneeling at his feet.
"Look, I've already got admirers falling at my feet!" he laughed at his own joke before seizing the kid by his elbow and dragging him into a standing position. He looked tired, maybe a little scared or lost, and Gilbert looked at him for a long moment before helping to dust his shoulders off a bit.
"You okay, Kleine?" he inquired, releasing his grip on the kid's arm and looking at him inquisitively. Obviously the kid didn't live around here, but maybe he needed help getting somewhere. "You need any help?"
(Pffff short post is short, orz /shot Also, Ukraine - You really think Gil wants a map? XD He wouldn't even know what to do with one. /shotshot)

Feliciano stared at the captain and first mate in surprise before a grin broke out on his face. Normally his crew mates just gave his suggestions strange looks. It was nice to have someone agree with him for once. He followed the captain humming happily.
The Italian bobbed his head in answer to Katyusha's question. “Of course not~ Vee, you didn't eve have to ask!” he replied, looping an arm through one of hers. “Why are we whispering?”
He didn't wait for an answer to this question, as his attention was caught by the minor commotion happening a little ahead. “Capitano, you should tell them not to do that, they'll get dirt in their mouths Vee.”
