The mood in Libertalia was rather sharp - something had happened since the last time Renato had been in... which may have been a few years, but things didn't change in the pirates realm too quickly. He didn't shrug it off, but he didn't let it bother him. The majority of the pirates here he could take care of in a heart beat - and if they challenged him, it would mean some fun amongst what, he assumed would be a boring meeting.
"Sicounin~" he called happily towards his favorite crewman... woman... whichever. "We should go down to the docks and see if those last few lagabouts have shown up!" he didn't give her too much of a choice, just grabbing her arm and tugging it. "The faster we find them, the faster the meeting goes by and the faster we can get out of here and back on the waters!" which was really where he wanted to be.

Much unlike Renato, who did not seem all to bothered by the atmosphere of Libertalia, Sicounin couldn’t push that slight feeling of anxiousness to the back of her head. She was fully aware of her own skill, but she was, after all, in the crew of a man who knew no limits and that alone was a worrying fact. As it was, she was prone to worrying over the simplest things. She’d been staring out into some empty space when he called out to her, and strong or not, she couldn’t do a thing about Renato pulling her along so suddenly. His words took a moment too long to process and she rolled her eyes – even though she could relate to the feeling wanting to be out at sea. “Be more patient, Re— Captain.” A sigh. Even after all this time, sometimes it was difficult for Sicounin to take him seriously enough to keep her language in check. “You might trample someone!”

"Pfft - you worry too much!" he laughed, turning as he walked to look back at Sicounin. "I won't run into anyo-" he stumbled, arms pinwheeling to keep him from falling over at he backed into someone. Sending a sharp glare at the offender, who scuttled off with a yelp of fright, he regained his balance and turned forward again. "...he ran into me." he declared, the faintest of flushes vanishing from his dark skin almost before it was born.

Too much? Sicounin scoffed, trying for all she was worth to not voice her thoughts on that; she worried enough for both of them and then some. It couldn’t be helped if he acted like a child when he clearly wasn’t one; or that’s how she tended to see things. Her march came to a halt as he effectively ran into someone; thankfully whoever the (un)fortunate soul was, they’d known better than to pick a fight and soon she was following Renato once more, shooting a glare at the back of his head. Well; nothing unusual there. “Of course he did. As if you’d ever make such a mistake. Honestly, pay more attention to your surroundings.”

The sarcasm and glare went right over his head as he pushed his way through the crowds, once again excited about getting down to the docks. And hey, maybe he'd take the time to go and check up on his ship again - you could never be too certain about what would happen to it, leaving it with all these low-class pirates wandering around.
"Hey, Sicounin." he spoke loudly as the first hints of the sea became visible as they hit the second tier. "Did you see those guys hanging around the Fortuna last night?" he remembered, almost absently, having seen a group of suspicious - well... more suspicious than everyone else here - men and women hanging around in front of his baby. Though the moment he'd walked by they'd vanished into the crowd...

Honestly she didn’t expect much more from him; after all, it wasn’t as if she particularly enjoyed arguing with the man. She simply had the habit of pointing out his flaws… It wasn’t her fault if he had so many. Well, the way she saw it, anyway. Then again, she did have a tendency to overreact.
His question caught her off guard, though, and she frowned, unconsciously speeding up to walk by his side rather than trailing along behind him, taking a quick glance at their surroundings. It was easier to get lost in the middle of these crowds than it seemed. “No, I did not.” The question was enough to set off another wave of worries as Sicounin wondered what sort of people Renato could be talking about; she figured that they couldn’t possibly be too difficult to handle, but still… “What did they look like? D’you think they meant trouble?”

"Hmm? Trouble? You forget that everyone here is trouble. Every last pirate here has made it to Libertalia - which means they're part of the best crews on the seas. But still - I'd like to see them try." he marched onwards, giving it a little thought as he went. Since he didn't recognize any of them, even from the brief glance, it meant that they probably weren't level Five, or even level Four. Which, in all honesty, meant that if they tried something, even without Renato helping, his crew'd kick their asses.
Sneaking a quick glance to Sicounin he felt so proud of having found such an amazing crew - of course, there would be nothing but the best for the former Roman Empire. Even though he didn't know if she remembered him, he remembered her and the rest of his men and women that made up the nations he'd spent his first lifetime with.
Shaking his head out of thoughts of the far distant past, he looked back down the quay - and something caught his attention. Black ship... familiar looking... could it be....?
"Sicounin!" he yelped, startled as a grin quickly spread across his face. "Run! Now!" he grabbed her arm again and raced down to the docks.

“I meant more so than usual.” She mumbled quietly, looking down momentarily as she walked. It was something of an excuse to cover up her embarrassment; she honestly didn’t mean to make it sound like they were prancing about a flowery field surrounded by harmless animals, but perhaps she’d chosen the wrong words. Still, Sicounin was quick to push that particular thought away; no need to dwell on it as if her captain had said something terrible to her ego. Besides, if he didn’t push the subject any further it must mean he wasn’t as worried about those strangers, anyway, right? Or at least no more than usual when you had some suspicious-looking group hanging around your prized ship.
If she could guess what Renato was thinking, she would think he was mad. It was true, the first time they’d met Sicounin had had the distinct feeling that she knew him from somewhere – but she figured it was only natural when you’d been out at sea for several years. Besides, it's not as if he had a tendency to be overshadowed; that was much didn't take a genius to figure out.
His voice rang through her ears again, snapping her out of her daydreams. Before she knew it, she was running, albeit confused as to why, trying to keep up or else she’d just be dragged along down to the docks. “What?” She glanced at him, frowning. Why was he grinning? “What is it, what did you see?”

Renato skidded to a stop as he came upon a certain black ship in the harbour. "Look! Look! You were with me when Artie was on our crew right?" he was pretty sure she was, but quite honestly he was getting on in age and sometimes mixed things up. Looking like an excited puppy, he hopped from foot to foot, wanting to just rush up the gangplank (it wasn't even down yet! he pouted) and find his favorite little fuzzy-brows.

Sicounin almost bumped against Renato as he stopped. She was still somewhat confused and it didn't help that he was asking more questions or-- the question sinked in and she mouthed a soft "oh", finally giving the black ship a good look. "I was." She answered with a nod, though she wasn't quite sure he could hear her over the sound of his own excitement. She remembered the boy; such a cutie, really. But then, one shouldn't be fooled by looks alone. "You might want to calm down..."

He stopped his mad hopping - she was right about that. It wouldn't be good for him to look too excited to see his former first-mate. But that didn't stop the giant grin on his face as he looked up at the pretty ship, remembering back when he'd first given it to the blond boy. The surprised on Arthur's face never ceased to fill him with glee whenever he thought back to it.
It also didn't stop him from hollering up at the ship's crew which he couldn't see yet. He wondered what kind of crew Artie had assembled for himself~
"OI! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE ARTHUR KIRKLAND!"
(tagging Grim crew!)

((-accepts tag- and sorry if this is fail... OTL))
James blinked hearing someone shout for the captain. He glanced towards the captain's quarters, before curiously walking to the railing and peering over it onto the dock. There on the dock was a strange man, with a woman. The Australian blinked again, looking around. Everyone else seemed to be busy preparing to leave the ship. And he knew the captain was probably preparing for whatever the Hell that meeting was. He'd probably toss James overboard (again) for disturbing him.
So instead he cupped his hands over his mouth, hollering back down at the pair, curious to know what business they had with the Brit. "Can I help you!?"

Will was playing with his dragon as he heard a voice boom through the air and quietly peeked over the edge. What was going on? Did this man know his "father"? His dragon gave a small croon and nuzzled him. He felt less afraid around Pippin but who knew what could happen.
As for the cook Odin. Not even the voice of an old comrade raise him from his sleep. He snored lightly with a couple of apples laying around him. Nothing was going to disturb this Grandfather.
