Name: Vash Zwingli
Country of Origin: Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft / Swiss Confederation
Gender Male
Age: 19
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 146lbs.
Appearance: Vash is a slim young man, and if looks could kill he would be a mass-murderer. It seems like it's wired in her personality to constantly frown and glare his impossibly green eyes at anyone who irritates him, and sometimes even when they don't. He keeps his hair at Mid-length, and while at times it can be considered a little feminine, his personality makes up for that. His clothing varies, since he refuses to get rid of anything that hasn't been destroyed beyond recognition. (also known as "still usable!") Whether it's shown or not, he refuses to go anywhere without a gun, or unarmed in general.
Crew member of:
Status:
Personality: Anti-social and hermit-like seem to fit Vash to a T. Unless in his inner circle, he dislikes socializing. It wouldn't irk him in the slightest to set up a home and never leave it. Those he is close to he is protective of, and in the right situation, can be border-line extremist about it. Vash is dishonest with his own feelings and unless it's scolding, he can't seem to be blunt about any kind of sensitive topic. He is short-tempered and quick to resort to violence, or the very least, weaponry. As mentioned earlier, he refuses to go anywhere unarmed. In that sense, he'll think through his actions thoroughly at most times. (Key words: most times.)
If anything, Vash can also be territorial. He won't tolerate trespassers. There are times when his frugality can be a tad extreme, so while he may have a very hefty bank account, he would dress in rags before spending it. He thinks he can spend money easily and just chooses not to, but nobody really believes that. (He never spends royally by the end of it all anyhow.)
He also has a soft spot for goats.
History: Vash's childhood, for the most part, took place in the mountains. His home is a closed-in village deep in the mountain range, and that was just how he liked it. He was never adventurous, even as a kid. That is, until his Father had a mid-life crisis and spontaneous claustrophobia, he claimed, and set off to become a merchant to see the world. Being young, Vash had no option but to accompany his father, even if it meant leaving his comfort zone of the mountain range.
In his travels, he was prodded by a small beggar girl. Normally he would shrug off anyone asking for money -- his father's spendthrift attitude kept Vash to keeping money under his pillow and hidden in various places for safekeeping -- but something about the little girl he couldn't ignore. His father had no problem taking in the little girl -- Lily, was her name -- since Vash was always an only child, and his mother had died too early to give him any siblings.
His father's irresponsibility with money left young Vash and Lily with little to their name when he passed away a few years later. Vash saved and saved, to buy even a temporary home, at least to give Lily somewhere to live. (He had gotten quite into being a 'big brother'.) He managed to find a place for them to live, but he would need a better source of income to keep them afloat. He found a job, but it required work on a ship. He'd be away for a length of time, but the pay was nothing to scoff at. He promised Lily he would be back as soon as he could, but even Vash himself wondered how long that would take; the job was working as a weapons specialist on a pirate ship.
That part he didn't tell his sister. She had become so curious about pirates and the sea, he couldn't possibly tell her!
Initially, the work was fine. He fixed canons and pistols, even if the money he earned was stained with blood, or stolen from another. He would still send it off to Lily, and keep some for himself. (Saving, savings.) What he didn't know initially was that his captain was a bit of a nut job. He didn't stop for anything, literally. Vash constantly wondered what kept the crew loyal. It must be the money, he thought, since it couldn't possibly be the food or lavish ship. The captain barely stopped for supplies! Vash was having a hard time contacting his sister when they were never docked on land to send a letter or otherwise.
After earning enough to keep him and his sister going for a while (he calculated), Vash finally returned home. Only. . . the home was empty. Lily wasn't there. He immediately thought the worst, but is set on finding her. He's taken up selling weaponry, simply because he can get information from customers, and damn, might as well stick to what you're good at.
Did you read the rules? Who is a Beastie?: Cap'n Jack, of course. <3
OoC:// Sorry his history got kinda long and dithered. x . x //
