All his protests died on his lips (and he had alot of protests - he hated it when people mussed up his hair...) as the spaniard leaned in and touched their noses together. He could literally feel the red in his face travel up to his ears and down his neck as his brain tried to catch up with his body.
"W-well fine! But if I get killed, I'm haunting your ass!" was all he could come up with as a rebuttal - not the most intelligent response, but the first one he managed to come up with.

Antonio smiled; oh, his first mate was too cute with those flushed red cheeks and that protesting face! Chuckling, he leaned up and placed a light kiss on the other's temple, then pulled away, grabbing onto his axe and winking, "I'd rather be haunted by you than anyone else in the world, Lovi~"

He watched the two with a small bit of amusement. He listened to Lovino speak. It was clear the first mate didn't trust him. And Afonso did not blame him. After all, he probably did come across as not completely right in the head.
Captain Carriedo seemed like a very trusting guy. It was good that he had a good first mate, one that would look out for him...
It seemed so familiar...

His boss earned himself a punch in the arm for that one. "Don't joke about that!" he huffed as he marched back towards their new... crewmember. Brusquely leaning down, he offered the man a hand, making sure that his distrustful look was firmly in place. "Welcome aboard." he said tersely, even as it was rather clear that to him, the new man was rather unwelcome indeed.

Smiling, and taking clear note of the distrustful look, he shook the offered hand. "Thank you."
Maybe one day I can gain your trust. Went unsaid, though he hoped one day he could. Releasing the hand he looked at the two, that almost lazy smile of his never faltering. "Ah, I suppose then I should start my duty and get us out of these woods."

Antonio laughed heartily, clapping the newly found navigator on the back as he adjusted his hat over his head, getting a better grip on his massive halberd. "Ah, yes, please! This place is so muggy, I haven't even gotten to take a proper siesta~"

Nearly falling over by the unexpected clap on the back, Afonso couldn't help but chuckle. Despite the throbbing of his head, he couldn't help but feel comfortable around the two. Antonio reminded him of... Maybe this is what it would feel like to have a brother? Ah, but that made no sense.
Shaking those thoughts away, and managing to get his bangs out of his eyes, he grinned a bit. Fishing his compass back out of his pocket. "Right, follow me!"
