(so, here we go guys, the start of the Valhalla threads - plural because I'm not going to make this easy on you - have fuuun~) There are ravens everywhere. The cacophony is deafening and everywhere you look there is black and glowing eyes. A sudden silence. Then, the beating of thousands of wing. To the north they fly - north and west, a far distance! To lands hardly chartered, the chase begins!

To any normal man, being surrounded by many large, black, feathered creatures with luminous eyes would probably give cause for alarm or even flight, but Captain of the Æsir, Aksel Torbjornsen, is not an ordinary man. Unperturbed by uncanny presence of the birds, he paced the length of his ship, racking his brain of ideas as to how to pursue the goal shown to him by his dreams; the path to Valhalla. As he reaches one end of the flying behemoth, he notices the sudden change in volume of the flock and is drawn out of his deep trance of thought (well, deep for him anyway) to see the mass of black feathers relinquish their perches and take wing to the NorthWest.
Aksel snaps his fingers as the idea hits him, luckily this clue was obvious enough to fit through the dense skull of his. As he sprinted toward the bow of the ship to steer, he cried out joyfully, "Of course! The birds! Valkyries have wings too, right? So what's the difference!?"
