On an Icey Island (picking up iceland)

Tino had told himself years ago he'd never step back on the island that was Iceland ever again after what had happened to his youngest brother. But, here he was, breaking that promise already as his foot crunched down on a mix of pebbles and concrete. Looking around the port city, he bleakly wondered if he'd see Baldur's telltale hair amongst the crowd as he used to do whenever a Nordic had come to visit... but looking at the heads of varying blond and brown hair he saw none that matched the sheer paleness of the violet-eyed boy.

Moving with the crowd, he kept his head down and his hand firmly on the case his gun was in strapped to his back. Murphy's law had been against him the last few months - his government (he'd never call the man or woman in charge 'Boss' ever again) had caught up to him again and after a very near miss he'd only just escaped onto a ferry heading for the little northern island. That and now he only had the clothes on his back, his one gun and a little money left after the boat ride left him in need of finding a quick-paying job so he could find a way off before those pests followed him here and caught him this time.

Looking around but not registering much aside from the people who came too close for his own comfort, he let his feet guide him to where he knew the underground market was hiding. Maybe if he got lucky there was an assassination that someone needed. Those were worth quite a lot.

[Baldur Wodenson]

Baldur had gone out to get groceries, a simple task no doubt but when the young Icelander had been thinking about what to make for dinner and not where he was going. Soon the smell had changed from a slightly pleasant smell of sea water and baked goods to well. Something rather unpleasant. Raw meat and fish beginning to stink from the sun reached his nose. Baldur scrunched his nose and continued walking not wanting to stay in this market long.

He kept his eyes forward, not wanting to make any eye contact with any of these people. A few where yelling at random people walking by trying to get them to buy their sales. As for Baldur he didn't need anything else. He really had to keep an eye on his money anyways. He didn't have a lot and food was a main priority. Holding the bag he got close to his chest. Except he wasn't watching his footing and tripped over a loose stone in the road. Everything in his arms spilled forward onto the dirty ground.

"No.." he muttered as he did his best to salvage what he could from the ground, but people continued to walk by and onto the things he bought. He wished some people would have some more consideration. But yet life continued for these people and they had nothing but themselves to worry about.
