Be Brave... (Picking up Holland and Puerto Rico)

It was the first time in a very long time that Lovino appreciated having Afonso by his side. Looking at all the dangerous men and women walking around the port city of Tortuga, all packing weapons, laughing loudly or stumbling drunkenly... if he'd been there by himself, he'd have just turned right around and said 'fuck it. We can find pirates to hire somewhere else'. Only there wasn't somewhere else - they didn't have enough crew to fly away and still operate the ship. And Antonio was too sick to go do it himself.

As the man's First Mate - oh, why had he accepted that position? He thought to himself - it was his job to take care of hiring new crew. And since Afonso was his Second he'd pulled him off the ship with him for moral support... or back up if things went south. "Where do you think we should look? Everyone here looks so fucking... shady." he scowled, clinging to the man's arm from behind. A few men who had heard him turned to eye him up - looking for weakness, he knew... which he definitely looked. Shit.

the docs where far to crowded this time of the day, but despite his hatred for seas of people, Nikolaas still had to pick up his shipment of opium. It was hard to navigate around all the drunk pirates, and other dubious people, with a large crate resting on his shoulder. The only advantage was being so tall, he could at least look over most people's head. He never ventured to close to the bars - he might have his sword strapped to his side, and a gun hidden under his large coat, but he didn't want to get into to much trouble. Not when carrying valuable cargo...

Carrying down the docs he spotted a familiar face...well...blinking and taking another look - Nikolaas still wasn't sure - yes, the person was definitely familiar, but from where? He decided to ignore it for now. Some of the local gangs was eying the shorter, familiar looking man up and down with anger in their eyes. Had the shorter brunette offended them in some way?`Likely, he mused...but wasn't sure why it made sense.
Curiosity got the better of him and he made his way through the crowd of people over to the group of angry looking pirates, stopping in front of them he pointed further down the docs, and with a blank expression and calm voice asked them if they knew their ship was setting sail

it was a lie of course, but these men where rather drunk, and their anger turned to panic as they scrambled up and rand down the doc, looking for their ship. Nikolaas chuckled as he watched them run, before shifting the crate from one shoulder to the other, then turned to the shorter brunette and his...body guard of some sort...
"Better get out of here before they return..." He smiled slightly before shifting the crate a bit more, eager to get back to his shop - smoke his pipe and drink some coffee

[Portugal]

Afonso had been a bit surprised when Lovino had asked him to come with him. But as he hadn't been up to anything he had been more then willing to accompany him. And now that they were actually in Tortuga... Well he was very glad he had come with the Italian. There were so many drunks running around... There was too big of a chance that Lovino would get himself hurt. And then Antoino would flip, and probably make his condition worse.

"A bar would probably be the best bet, more people. It's where pirates looking for a ship tend to go too," he replied to Lovino, keeping his normal smile on his lips. His eyes though were narrowed at the men in front of them, his hand moving to rest against his pistol. If they wanted a fight-

Before he could even continue that thought someone had come forward, speaking to the men. He wasn't sure what he had said, but the men were running off with alarming speed. He blinked before looking at the familiar man. Nodding a bit to what he said. "Ah, right. Thank you... Um..?"

Nikolaas wasn't the only man roaming about the docks that day, and close to the bar.
Emmanuel had heard the commotion, had seen the pirates fleeing the bar, and had simply rolled his eyes, giving a soft chuckle to himself.
"Ave Maria," he chimed, "Nadie tienen ningún sentido aqui."
No one has any sense here.
Continuing on past the bar, he stopped suddenly. Those voices sounded familiar, and, they had...

They were pirates, right?
They seemed much safer than the rest. Safer probably wasn't the best word.

But... was it even safe to leave? He hated the ship he was on, the ship that stole him, but he'd always made the best of it.

And here was an opportunity.

Was he willing to make the best of it?

"Dios mio, ayudame," he whispered. My God, help me.
Timidly stepping forward, he walked close enough to analyse the situation.
He'd beg if he needed to.
