Tino takes a big step over a mound of rocks before sliding down the incline of a grassy hill. After landing on a plot of powdery dirt, he sits up a bit after brushing himself off. He finds he's in front of some old ruins, the columns holding up crumbling walls that once housed possibly a whole town. It's by the ocean, and he can smell the salt that's probably eroded a good portion of the walls away.
"Good, this is exactly what I wanted!" he said to himself. He got up and strode over to a small path that used to be a road, but now it was overgrown with the same tall, green grass that was on the hillside. He went from one small, crumbling door to the next, peering inside for something to take back with him; he wasn't going to leave until he had some treasure of some sort!

(replying not as a character!)
As Tino peers into the house, a flock of bats come winging out of the ruin, screeching as they all dodge around him.

Tino squeaks a bit, dodging them by pulling his head back around the wall. He does so just in time-but not without a scratch on his cheek-to see them fly out towards the sky, and he pokes his head into the door once again to make sure they're all gone.
He yells out to be sure. "Helloooo? Anything else in there?"

Not a sound, other than the echo of his own voice. This building, while falling apart, still managed to have an upstairs and a downstairs with what looked like stable steps, as well as what looked to be a seperate room in behind.

Tino shuffled into the main room, looking around at the discarded trinkets on the floor and the furniture that had been pushed aside; it's as if someone was in a hurry to get out of there.
But he shrugged off the heavy feeling in the room and promptly looked through a chest of drawers on the right side of the room. He didn't even bother closing them- No one would be back home any time soon.

Nothing much to be found in those trunks, mostly a few odds and ends that have rotted or gone to dust over the long years.
The silence is broken by something creaking upstairs...

He is a bit disappointed at the fact everything has degraded over time, but his frowning at the empty drawers is interrupted by the creaking. He jumps a bit at the noise, wondering what it could be. "I'm surprised the floor wouldn't collapse up there..." me mused as his curiosity took over. He took gentle steps up the decaying staircase. "It's probably just a rat or something."

The upstairs was relatively intact - but no signs of rodents anywhere. There was something - but before it can be identified, it whisks around the corner with very little noise.

Tino sees the dark silhouette of the noise maker dart off. He shuffles gently on the floorboards to follow after it. "Helloooo, is anybody else in here?"

Around the corner, huddled in the corner is a transparent child who looks to be sobbing into his? her? lap - before suddenly jerking to look up with fear filled eyes and a silent scream, running off into what looks at first glance to be a blank wall. Not once does the child notice Tino. After a long pause, the child appears again, right back where it started to repeat the process all over again.

At first, Tino is startled by the child's transparent figure huddled in the corner, but his shock turned to wonder as he saw the child was crying. It looked like a little girl, and she didn't seem to notice him at all. She just kept coming back and looking up to scream at a nonexistent entity that might do her harm. He didn't like looking at her scream, it made his stomach feel uneasy.
"H-hello? Why are you screaming like that?"

The little girl doesn't reply - doesn't even notice Tino is there as she keeps running through the same piece of wall that, on closer inspection, is a slightly different color and type of wood than the rest of the worn, mildly rotten wood.

Moves up to the discolored part of the wall, being sure he doesn't get in the ghost girl's way. (Not that it would matter - she is a ghost after all.) He puts a hand there to put pressure on it a little; maybe it will move?

The wood practically fell in, and if he didn't move fast enough, Tino would find a few sharp splinters in his arm. But, behind the fake wall, was a long dark staircase - and as the ghost girl got up and ran screaming... she went down the stairs into the oppressing dark.

Tino peered into the hole in the wall and shoved away a few lingering pieces of wood before carefully stepping his way down. Every once in a while the ghost girl would pass him again, but he began to not pay attention to her as much. He was more preoccupied with trying to see in the dark.
