".....no idea, actually!" Rome cheerfully stepped forward, walking past his medic and hopping onto the vines, practically dancing along onto the other side. "Looks like a lot of vegetation, maybe a bit of an ancient ruin that's been overgrown..." pulling out his sword in one hand, just in case, he held his lantern up higher.
"Let's go explore!" he said, smiling but serious, excited for the adventure and getting into his conquering mindset.

Germania sighed, glad to have at least calmed the others down in the face of Rome's typical idiocy - for now, anyway.
He pulled his own sword from it's sheath as he advanced, following Rome's example - a good one, for once - and preparing himself just in case there was anything ahead that would potentially do them harm. Of course, he'd let whatever it might be - God or chipmunk - tear through Rome first before taking it down. It would be one less stress in his life, at least.
He shifted slightly closer to Rome, using his light instead of pulling his own lantern from his belt; he wanted to have a free hand and arm to guard with in case anything came lunging at them - that was his excuse, anyway. Really, he just wanted a hand free to hit Rome with on occasion.

Rome was definitely going to end up injured before this adventure was over. She paused when finall they reached solid ground, momentarily pausing to fix her sandal. And she couldn't help but make a face, trying to brush dirt off her clothing. Oh well, at least it wasn't one of her dresses. If that were the case, and her dress was dirty, not even Germania could stop her from killing Rome herself.
She held her tongue as well, wanting nothing more then to verbally berate the Roman. Egypt kept quiet though, unslinging her bow from her back and bringing up the rear of the group, casually glancing at Aestii. "You alright?"

It was true that Germania’s appeal to reason had calmed Iberia down, but Rome’s antics never ceased to amaze her. It was wonderful to know that he was gullible enough to fall for anything that involved fights and bloodshed; she would be sure to keep him away from her children, lest they would try to follow his example at one point or another.
Much like her companions, once they managed to set foot on solid ground, she too was prepared to fight, hand gripping her falcata as she managed to concentrate more on her surroundings rather than little tidbits of conversation. She hoped it wouldn’t come down to some sort of conflict, but she would rather be ready in case it happened. As such, she maintained her proximity to the group, but otherwise remained silent.

Aestii clambered up onto the island, resting his hands on his knees and breathing deeply. His pulse slowly calmed down, and the Baltic stood up, expression serene as he took stock of the area. The moonlight spilt over the ruins, casting everything with a yellow-white glow, and making the green-ink shadows beneath the ferns darker as they shifted in the wind. The architecture was strange, though, not entirely without harmonious energy.
Though, Aestii hesitated to state it was a welcoming energy. More of...anticipation.
The Baltic was pulled from his thoughts by the Egyptian's inquiry. Smiling softly, the Baltic reached behind him and pulled out a stick, shaking it once to reveal a long, sturdy staff. "I am well, thank you, now that we're on solid ground. Come, before the lantern loses us." Aestii moved along, touching the butt of his staff to the ground and ensuring its stability. He hummed lightly, tilting his head. "Judging by the locals, how do you expect the gods to be? They seemed to be a... very war-oriented culture."

"Yea, they kinda were..." Rome pondered, swinging the sword to chop through the vegetation in front of him as he started to walk further into the near jungle. "... but they really sucked at it." he smirked, remembering the rush that came from battle and how easy it was to win. Sure, he had a couple thousand years worth of memories and experience under his belt, but they were just too easy. "I hope their gods do better than that." which was a truthful, honest wish from him.
The deeper he went, the more tangled and overgrown everything seemed. Conscious of this, as he made his way further in, he chopped a wide path around him, in case he needed to really start to swing his sword.

Germania followed behind Rome, allowing the brawny idiot to do all of the work, chopping away at the vines and clearing a path for the rest of them. He wasn't about to raise his sword to the vegetation - it did nothing to him, after all. However, since Rome's thought process consisted only of destroy, conquer, conquer, destroy, the brunette was obviously going to choose to hack his way through the thick foliage instead of simply pushing his way through it. It may have required more work, and may have taken them a little longer, but at least the poor defenseless vines would still be intact.
He let out a long-suffering sigh and finally held up his own lantern, providing the group a bit more light which was tinted green as it reflected back on them from all of the vines and shrubbery in their surroundings. He was content to listen to the others converse for now, simply observing their conversation as they continued.
