Will clung to Arthur as his other arm kept the rabbit safe. The creature had stirred and tried to move away but soon settled down a bit. He didn't expect to be picked up and it was a little shocking.
He hoped he didn't get the man's nice clothes dirty due to his own. But after a little while he found himself resting his head against the other's shoulder and slowly clothing his eyes. Just for a moment he'd open his eyes when he heard the gulls call.

Heading up to his ship, he nodded casually at the men (or women) on deck as he headed down below, fully ready to bother his cook for a meal for the young boy. "Odin? Are you in?" he questioned, settling the boy down in one of the chairs near the table.

Will woke up lightly when he was set down on a chair. He placed the bunny on the table and lightly pat it. He looked around and saw a man with white hair sitting on a crate his legs crossed and his eyes closed. He even snored!
"Mr. Kirkland is that him there?" He asked pointing to the man.
It was Odin, the man was getting old in his age it seemed and had fallen asleep where he had sat down to rest for a moment. He probably was sleeping so deeply that he didn't hear Arthur call for him.

Looking over and spotting the sleeping man, a faint fond smile crept onto his face. "Perhaps we should let him sleep..." he put a finger to his lips in a 'shushing' motion. Sneaking over to the stove, where Odin always kept a pot of soup on the warmer, he pulled a bowl down from the cupboards and filled it with hot soup. Going into the larder, he came up with a block of cheese that he sliced with quick efficiency - adding a few crackers, the meal was complete.
"Here you go Will." he murmured, placing the bowl and food down in front of the young boy, and putting down a small bowl of cut up vegetables in front of the bunny, before settling himself down in another chair.

"Thank you Mister Kirkland." Will said in a shushed tone. After that he had a small prayer thanking for the meal and the kind man known as Arthur Kirkland. After that he began to eat. Oh it had been so long since he last had a good meal! He dug in and ate so fast that it couldn't be that healthy. The rabbit nibbled on some food but otherwise didn't really do that much of anything.

"Ah! Slow down a bit, Will!" he reached forward, placing a hand over Will's smaller one that was holding the spoon. "If you eat too fast, you'll just be sick later." he smiled reassuringly down at the boy. "You don't need to rush - no one will take it from you and there's plenty more for you to eat if it's not enough."
He was reminded, suddenly, of when he was young - how he used to eat as fast as he could so his siblings couldn't steal it or ruin it for him, especially any treats he was given. For the first time in a long while (and he felt incredibly guilty about not thinking of it more often... after all, it was the main reason he was out here, on the sea and working for Her Majesty after all...) he wondered where his family had gotten off to - if they were okay, or at least alive... a rather wistful expression grew on his face.

Will's face turned red and he slowed down in his eating. He was really grateful to Arthur for all that he was doing and after awhile he soon found out that his bowl was empty. His small stomach was full and he was comfortable. It was warm in the ships kitchen and he laid down his head on the table. He pat the rabbit until he fell asleep.

With a smile hidden behind his hand, he picked up the empty bowl after Will fell asleep, taking it over to the sink and washing it out, setting it down to dry. With quiet steps, he came back over to the boy and picked him up, bunny and all, carrying him out of the kitchen and up to his cabin. After a quick search, he pulled out a box big enough for the bunny to be in, with sides tall enough that it shouldn't be able to hop out, putting it in there before looking through his clothes.
Pulling out one of his old shirts that he had yet to throw away (it had gotten just a little too small for him) he quickly peeled off the boys torn and old clothes and dressed him in the old shirt, tucking him down between the covers of his bed. The bath could wait until later, the boy looked like he needed that sleep.

Will wasn't to far asleep to know what was happening. So he snuggled into the covers, the warmth completely enveloping him and making him feel welcomed. He never felt anything so soft before.
"Thank you Arthur" he muttered and hugged the pillow close to himself.
