Name: Saoirse “Patty” Kirkland
Country of Origin: Ireland
Gender Female
Age: 26
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 126
Appearance: Saoirse is a bit of a lanky young woman. Though she could still easily throw a man over her shoulder if the need arises. Unlike her other siblings, Saoirse has bright, wavy red hair, with straight cut bangs long enough to cover the traditional Kirkland eyebrows. She does however share her two brothers and sister’s pale skin. Though unlike them, hers is dotted with multiple freckles.
Typically, you can find Saoirse wearing a simple white button down top with an emerald coat pulled over it and tan pants tucked into scuffed boots. Needless to say, Saoirse looks like a young man on most occasions. The Irish lass only adding to that by keeping her wavy red hair short, if you could call reaching her shoulders short (well, it is by her standards. Her hair was always one of the few girly things she indulged in). She generally likes to keep that tied back, at times tucked into a worn tweed hat she received from her Grandfather when she was a child. She also keeps her bangs cut in the same style, straight cut to hide her traditional Kirkland eyebrows.
Crew member of: N/A
Status: N/A
Personality: Saoirse is very quick to anger. And is the type of person to hold a grudge against another. In fact, there are times when she would be arguing with one of her siblings, and pull up a random argument they had had as children, showing that she still has not gotten fully over it. Saoirse is also very well known for jumping into fist fights.
However, despite her very tough demeanor, Saoirse does have a soft spot. Especially when it comes to her siblings. In fact, it is a well known fact that growing up, if anyone was to pick on her youngest brother Arthur besides her or Blaine, she would go after them and beat them up. Of course, she never mentioned this to Arthur. She enjoyed keeping up the mean, bullying persona to him and her other siblings. But in the end, she allows the softer (and could be dubbed as maternal) side out from time to time. More often when she is around younger children.
History: As the second eldest of the Kirkland family, and while she was quite a female… To this day she is still convinced her younger siblings believed her to be a boy. Though, she was very sure that her tom boyish nature did not help. And the fact her parents never corrected her siblings. She was pretty convinced they found it incredibly amusing. And resulted in Saoirse growing up a wee bit bitter towards her parents, and resulted in her growing up more like a boy then a girl. Though looking back, she wouldn’t change that fact for anything. As by being treated and acting like a boy, she managed to avoid the predestined life of a woman. Though it also led to her not knowing how to act like a proper lady at all. Despite the attempts her family had made to teach her.
As she grew older, Saoirse longed to leave to explore the world more and more. Especially as things within the family became tenser and tenser. When she was 18, her youngest brother Arthur left home. It was a shock to them all. And Saoirse could not help but feel a bit of jealousy that he had managed to get out. To follow his own path, while she was stuck at home, learning to take over the family business. A preordained path if she ever heard of one. And once she heard her parents speaking about an arranged marriage for her… Well that was the last push she needed.
Only a few months after her brother, Saoirse all but run away from home. Only leaving a note behind for her remaining siblings to tell them she was sorry, and that she would miss them. The next morning, she found herself on the docks of the city port trying to gain access onto a ship. Of course that itself was easier said than done. As there seemed to be some old myth about woman on ships bringing bad luck. Saoirse was turned away from every ship.
The next day she returned disguised as a boy named Patrick, or Patty as she was so often called. She was allowed on a merchant ship almost immediately. And Saoirse, or Patty, thrived on a true freedom she had discovered. And for the next 8 years, she remained on the same ship, working hard and managing to keep her gender a secret. With the exception of her captain Gaia. She was pretty sure the captain knew her true identity. But Gaia never did mention it to her, something Saoirse was very grateful for it.
The next 8 years were one adventure after another to the Irish Lass. And she continued to grow, learning anything she could on the ship. Rising through the ranks each day. Saoirse truly had never been happier… At least until a horrible storm hit the ship…
Did you read the rules? Who is a Beastie?: Jack Sparrow of course!
((Ahaha hope this is alright!))
